Work Package 3 – Metamodels and Languages
This work package degines UML Profile and metamodel for Services (UMPS) through the OMG standardisation group. This work package also extends UML Profile and metamodel towards Semantically-enabled Heterogeneous service-oriented Architectures (UPMSHA) through the creation and development of metamodel extensions for UPMS (Agents, P2P, Semantic Web Services, Grid).
Objectives
The objectives of this work package are:
- to develop a UML Profile and Metamodel for Services (UPMS).
- to develop a UML Profile and Metamodel for Semantically-enabled Heterogeneous service-oriented Architectures (UPMSHA), extending the UPMS. This includes the following objectives
- to develop support for metamodel extension and customisation
- to develop support in UPMSHA for connection to flexible business models
- to develop support in UPMSHA for semantic descriptions
- to develop support in UPMSHA for adaptive systems (agents, P2P and Grid)
- to formalise UPMSHA in WSML.
